When it was first announced in November 2018, it was a different world and “The Walking Dead” was still one of the most controversial programs on TV. Fans were eagerly consuming Lincoln’s departure from the series and anticipating what might happen next for him.

As things continue to change on AMC regarding “Walking Dead”, it remains to be seen how it might affect the proposed films. After Gurira is freed from the restrictions of the TV show, she becomes available to return to Rick’s story.
Hell, with the show now ending in the next two years, the entire cast may suddenly be available to take part in those films in some capacity, which means it could serve as a sequel, of sorts, to the entire main saga, just as Daryl announced (Norman Reedus(And Carol)Melissa McBrideSeparate will continue their story.

Reedus said: “He will not say anything. He will not commit” CBR. “I have no idea. I literally don’t know. I hope I know.” He has said that if that happens, nobody will tell him because of his “big mouth,” but interestingly enough, Lincoln didn’t just crush her.

Film and TV productions are back in business, though, with the “The Walking Dead” finale showing tonight, along with the spin-off series “World Beyond,” ahead of the premiere of the new “Fear the Walking Dead” next weekend.

If Marvel, DC, James Bond and “Fast & Furious” can keep an eye out while delaying everything with new dates, there’s no reason The Walking Dead couldn’t do that either by giving at least an initial year and a quarter.
The final episode of “The Walking Dead” (Finally) premieres tonight at 9 PM EST, followed immediately by the premiere of “The Walking Dead: World Beyond” at 10 PM ET.
