Morning news headlines Chelsea as Thomas Partey’s move and Thiago Silva pledge are planned
Here are the morning Chelsea headlines for Saturday 3rd October.
New Blues defender sends a message to Lampard
Thiago Silva is not interested in treating his season in Chelsea as an opportunity to explore London’s tourist spots.
The Brazilian defender – who joined the Blues on a free transfer from Paris Saint-Germain in the summer – is looking to add an English trophy to a cupboard containing twenty major trophies from Italy and France and internationally.
Chelsea president Frank Lampard has praised Silva for his leadership skills.

Despite his mistake in last week’s draw against West Bromwich Albion, a serial winner was noticed in the locker room.
“I think it is true that I have a lot to offer in this regard,” Silva said in today’s match program for the match against Crystal Palace “Until I had the opportunity to share the field with my new coach when we played each other at the Maracana in 2013.
“I told him that I am here to help and that he can count on me every step of the way.”
He left Chelsea to regret the previous sales
The outgoing Chelsea transfer business in recent years cannot be mentioned without hearing three names: Mohamed Salah, Romelu Lukaku and Kevin De Bruyne.
Christian Hennig reports in football. London How the Blues could have protected their investments by introducing buyback clauses in deals that took Salah, De Bruyne and Lukaku to Rome, Wolfsburg and Everton, respectively.
he is writing : “It’s impossible to fall on the right side of every deal, so it’s about trying to limit errors and risks. If Chelsea had had a chance to re-sign the trio above they would have been able to do so.
Moreover, it maintains a strong relationship with the player.
“Lukaku was said to have been open to returning to Chelsea and by introducing the buyback clause into these deals he is sending a message to the player that Chelsea think they have potential, but activating this potential will require them to leave the club.”

Lampard wants Barty some time at Chelsea
Chelsea are ready to hijack Arsenal’s transfer plans by taking a move to sign Thomas Partey.
According to th telegraph Blues coach Frank Lampard wants a new defensive midfielder, with Declan Rice of West Ham United.
But the Hammers slapped £ 80m on the 21-year-old’s head, which means Chelsea can now turn their attention to Atletico Madrid’s Parti, who they’ve been watching over recent months.
Any new defensive midfielder who arrives at Stamford Bridge could spell Jorginho’s end.
The Italian international could head for Arsenal, who had backstage talks.
