Glasgow BrewDog pub shuts down after an employee tests positive for Covid-19
The BrewDog pub in Glasgow has been temporarily closed after a staff member tested positive for it Corona Virus.
He was the last employee to work in Merchant City Bar on the Sunday before you get sick.
Despite “limited exposure to guests and staff,” the superiors decided to lock down as a precaution during the deep cleaning procedure.

A statement from BrewDog Merchant City said: “This morning we learned that one of our crew members has tested positive for the Covid-19 virus.
“Their last shift was in Merchant City on Sunday 6 September, and although they were exposed to a limited number of guests and staff, out of extreme caution, we chose to close our doors until Friday at 12 p.m. for additional cleaning and work closely with the team that might be affected.
“All crew members who had been in contact with them are now in isolation according to government guidelines.
“The bar was deeply cleaned at night as part of our strict cleaning procedures, as well as being disinfected at all common contact points every 15 minutes – as has been the case since we reopened on July 15th.
“We also arranged an anti-virus spray to be implemented today.
“We have not been contacted by NHS Test & Protect but we are ready to cooperate with all relevant information.

“Thanks for your understanding, our priority now is the well-being of our team and we wish the team member a speedy recovery. Take care of each other.”
