Urgent product recall notices have been issued by Tesco, Lidl, Iceland and other supermarkets due to health concerns.
If there is a problem By a food product that means it should not be sold, it may be “pulled” (removed from the shelves) or “recalled” (when customers are asked to return the product).
The Food Standards Agency issues “Product Recall Information Notices” and “Product Recall Information Notices” to allow consumers and local authorities to learn about food-related problems.

Liddell
Lidl GB mentions Cologran Stevia Sweetener Tablets (Stevia variant) because aspartame (E951) is not mentioned on the label.
This means that the product represents a potential health risk for patients with phenylketonuria (PKU).

Waitrose and Morrisons
Worthenshaws Ltd recalls Kirsty’s Classic Beef Lasagne because they have a statement on the label that the product is free of all 14 allergens, which is imprecise as the product contains oats.
The oats are also not emphasized on the label.
This means that the product is suitable for those on a gluten-free diet, however it is not suitable for those who are allergic to oats.
