Last Of Us manager asks fans to be patient in multiplayer mode
After no multiplayer announcement over the weekend, Last Of Us manager Neil Druckmann seemed to hint the way was still a long way off.
Last Saturday was a good day for Fans of The Last Of Us, on the occasion of Last Of Us Day, celebrate the series as Naughty Dog announces new merchandise.
However, one thing many fans had fully anticipated that was completely absent was an announcement regarding the separate multiplayer mode in The Last Of Us Part 2.
Director Neil Druckman, while not explicitly referring to the multiplayer, appears to have hinted at him in a tweet, asking fans to be patient for “that other thing.”
Given his choice of words, it’s as if the situation is still far from the release. We can only speculate, but fans will likely need to wait until next year.
While we know there is a multiplayer mode, the exact details remain unknown, such as whether it will be sold as a separate game or added to The Last Of Us Part 2 in a free update.
The game was originally supposed to be multiplayer, but Naughty Dog chose to remove it due to how vast the main campaign would be.
Last of Us Day wouldn’t have been without some of the things that keep fans excited about it. Naughty Dog unveiled two new figurines, a vinyl soundtrack and a connecting board game made by CMON, the same company behind the Bloodborne and God Of War board games.
