Original article (Thursday, September 17, 2020 at 05:30 GMT): Like it or not, day one updates have become standard practice for many users Pioneer Video game releases in recent years. Even Nintendo’s 3-in-1 Anniversary Kit Super Mario 3D All-Star Users will be asked to update it when it launches on Friday.
This information comes via GoNintendo, which also indicates how this patch raises the game to version 1.0.1:
“We are not quite sure what the update does, as the patch notes haven’t been shared yet. We know it is raising the game to version 1.0.1.”
While you should be able to play the game once it is taken out of the box, you will likely still want to update to this latest version. Our guess is some small bug fixes here and there to slightly improve the overall experience.
In other words, don’t expect this to be corrected Super Mario Galaxy 2 – Although we all support it (if you’re reading, Nintendo).
