Beauty, Clothing, Design and Fashion : BlendNewYork Clothing Boutique Eco-Fashion Sale Starts Now
|
| on 2010/7/27 10:00:00 (79 reads) |
(Prudent Press Agency) --- Now through Saturday... Take 30% Off All c.marchuska Eco-Fashion. Sustainable clothing is for today's trendsetting, socially-conscious woman. Eco-fashion is one of the most compelling topics in fashion today. Simply put, the term “eco-fashion” refers to stylized clothing that uses environmentally sensitive fabrics and responsible production techniques.
Why Wear Organic? Now more than ever, we need to take into account the environment, the health of consumers, and the working conditions of people in any industry. Global warming is becoming more of a fact than a probability, and consumers need to think of their impact on the environment with even the clothes they wear. While buying organic clothing is just the beginning of what it will take to improve the environment, there are things consumers can do to do their part in reducing energy use and cutting down on greenhouse gas emissions. Clearly, it will take everyone to make the biggest difference.

Beauty, Clothing, Design and Fashion : Vlisco on the Amsterdam International Fashion Week 2010
|
| on 2010/7/25 11:40:00 (102 reads) |
(Prudent Press Agency) --- The 3rd year students Fashion Design of the ArtEZ Institute in Arnhem, the Netherlands developed the twelfth edition of Collection Arnhem. In this project the students jointly design a complete fashion collection. The main goal is to learn how to design and assemble a collection, as well as to produce, present and sell it. This year the collection was based on a collaboration with Vlisco. The result has been presented during the Amsterdam International Fashion Week.
Correct collection The overall theme for this edition is 'correct'. Everybody thinks differently about correctness. The students have to combine all the different ideas into one vision. With their collection, the students brought their message across to follow the vision of the designer by inspiring people to wear the creations the way the designer intended. The fashion collection showed a new kind of correctness, which could be found throughout the collection, both in style and symbols as in technique. For example the tie, the ultimate symbol of correctness, was used in a non traditional way.

Beauty, Clothing, Design and Fashion : Molly Brown London Launches Jewellery Care and Advice Guides
|
| on 2010/7/25 11:00:00 (65 reads) |
(Prudent Press Agency) --- The stylish website which houses some of the most desirable designer girls' jewellery available on the virtual shelves has added a helpful and informative section, which will no doubt prove to be extremely useful for customers. The Care and Advice area offers specific sections dealing with the care of various precious metals, gemstones and pearls. The Pearl Care Section focuses on the care of freshwater pearls and advises on cleaning and the best way to store pearls. The Silver Care section again, offers helpful advice on cleaning 925 sterling silver and ways of avoiding silver tarnishing.
Particular care should be taken when cleaning stones and gemstone jewellery too and so the Gemstone Care section is extremely pertinent; particularly since this super stylish brand only uses coloured gemstones within its collections - you won't find any costume jewellery here! The Gold Care section underlines how important it is not to wear gold jewellery in swimming pools; so please make sure that any little Molly Brown fans carefully remove any jewellery before jumping in and store their necklaces and bracelets in a safe place.

Beauty, Clothing, Design and Fashion : Vlisco: created in Holland, loved in Africa
|
| on 2010/7/24 14:00:00 (86 reads) |
(Prudent Press Agency) --- The 1st of May, the grand opening of the World Expo 2010 has taken place. Vlisco, the Dutch brand leading in African fashion, will showcase at this big global event. Vlisco was introduced as exhibitor to the Dutch government by John Körmeling, the architect of the Dutch pavilion. Vlisco is in good company, for example of the designer's duo Viktor & Rolf, interior designer Piet Hein Eek and renowned multinationals such as Philips and ASML.
'Happy Street' The Dutch pavilion 'Happy Street' was designed and developed by John Körmeling, inspired by the figure eight, a Chinese lucky number. 'Happy Street' is aligned with the overall theme of the World Expo 2010: 'Better City, Better Life', as the view of John Körmeling is that a better city starts with a good street. A street which is full of life, where people can meet, live, work, eat, play and shop. 'Happy Street' is composed of many distinctive small buildings, following the route you walk along small exhibition rooms in different styles of Dutch architecture tradition.

Beauty, Clothing, Design and Fashion : David Levi and Sons Jewelers Offer Best Price for Gold Challenge
|
| on 2010/7/23 13:20:00 (74 reads) |
(Prudent Press Agency) --- David Levi and Sons Jewelers are the premier San Diego gold buyers and are committed to helping San Diego residents make the best of a bad situation by offering gold sellers the best prices in town and issuing the "David Levi and Sons Jewelers Challenge". There are many who use the opportunity of a weakened economy to take advantage of people who need to sell their gold or jewelry for cash. Although pawn shops seem to be the worst offenders there are also some disreputable jewelry buyers who are using less than trustworthy practices.
People are falling victim to a host of fly-by-night gold buyers who have taken troubled times and turned them into an opportunity to make a quick profit at the expense of consumers. Some of these establishments are paying out only 18% to 20% of the true value of the jewelry based on the current market price for gold. Although this leaves the merchants with an impressive profit margin, those who are selling their gold jewelry are being fleeced by these out of control offenders. Industry experts say consumers continue to get taken in and are getting far less money than they should for their valuables because they simply don't know any better.
